菲尔兹奖得主 Jacob Tsimerman 加入 OpenAI

美国东部时间 7 月 23 日，在美国费城举办的第 30 届国际数学家大会（ICM）上，国际数学联盟（IMU）正式颁发被誉为「数学界诺贝尔奖」的菲尔兹奖。

中国数学家王虹、邓煜，以及美国数学家约翰·帕登（John Pardon）、加拿大数学家雅各·齐默尔曼（Jacob Tsimerman）4 位青年数学家获奖。

其中，Jacob Tsimerman 在获奖当天即宣布转向 AI 安全研究，将很快加入 OpenAI 公司。在他看来，AI 很快就会在做数学这件事上比数学家更强。
